Located on Spain's Costa Azahar, close to the monumental town of Xátiva (Valencia), ‘Painting Holidays in the Sun’ offers artists and their partners a unique opportunity to have the best of both worlds.The artist attends art classes to enable them to develop their existing skills with a professional tutor; their partner enjoys all the usual amenities of a holiday in the sun and together they may enjoy many of the joint activities that are arranged throughout the holiday .
Our art classes take place at the purpose-built studio of our tutor, Dolores Alvaro, where she is able to offer a wide range of artistic techniques including Water Colours, Acrylics, Sketching and Oils. Dolores will work with you on day one to design a personal programme for the week aimed at developing your current level of expertise and skill. There will be ample opportunity to experience things you haven’t tried before but never forgetting that the aim is to have fun while you learn.
In the near future we will be offering an exciting opportunity to produce work with some of the more popular graphic arts such as Offset Litho and Silk Screen Printing.
Our holidays are of one week's duration with art classes held on Monday to Friday that are suitable for beginners as well as the more advanced artist. Holidays are limited to a maximum of 16 people consisting of both artists and non-artists.
Accommodation is provided at 2 locations - Casa Amarilla and The House on the Hill:
Casa Amarilla – luxury apartment with one kingsize bedroom, one twin/kingsize, one shower room and one bathroom (shared facilities). Maximum of 4 people in the apartment.
House on the Hill – 3 luxury log cabins each with one double bedroom, one twin, one single and one bathroom (shared facilities). Maximum of 4 people in each cabin.
